Experience
Life, for whatever reason, can sometimes feel truly difficult. I am passionate about supporting people through their toughest times, where maybe things feel painful and confusing.

In 2017, I started counselling at the Tayside Centre for Counselling (TCC) at Abertay University, Dundee, Scotland. TCC is known for providing evidence-based therapy and conducting therapeutic research by specialising in offering therapy to those experiencing sight loss and diabetes, as well as other long term health conditions. After two years, I began counselling at Heriot Watt University whilst also counselling at the LGBT+ Health and Wellbeing Centre, both situated in Edinburgh, Scotland. Within these roles, I offered therapy to students, as well as to any member of the LGBT+ family and developed the required skills and experience to ensure effective therapy. I then accepted a full time role working at the University of Highlands and Islands, Perth College, Scotland. I moved back to Devon, England in 2021 and continued to work/volunteer within an LGBT+ charity, Intercom Trust, where I further gained skills and experience supporting LGBT+ clients through therapy, support and advocacy. In 2023, I was employed by Plymouth Marjon University as a University Counsellor, where I also completed a CPCAB Level 6 Clinical supervision course. During this time, I also started 'Counselling with Zoe', which is now where I see clients and supervisees full time. I am also a group supervisor for the Counselling Service at Intercom Trust.

As a counsellor registered with both the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO), I work within the ethical framework for counselling professionals to ensure good practice as well as competency working online.
